ABOUT US
Lessons in Crime is an energetic Alternative Pop-Rock duo from Ottawa, Ontario, comprised of Liam Schwisberg and Paolo Pace. The two met while attending college to study music production, where they quickly realized their music tastes and absurdly perfectionist values aligned. Together they formed Lessons in Crime in 2017, pushing the limits of pop-rock by incorporating orchestral, guitar, and synth elements, beneath thought-provoking, honest and vulnerable lyrics.
Liam and Paolo both sing and play multiple instruments during their live shows, jumping from drums, to guitar, to piano, to ukulele, in between a host of theatrical moments. The pair put on an engaging and fun show from start to finish. “If we’re not totally exhausted and completely drenched in sweat by the end of the show, we know we haven’t done enough” says Liam.
In 2019, the boys released their self-produced debut album “The Answer Doesn’t Exist,” and celebrated with an album release show at Ottawa’s Gladstone Theatre. Since then, Liam and Paolo have been hard at work on their second full-length album.
